My journey towards becoming a counsellor in Hammersmith and online started with my mother passing away. I spent a year at a hospice day centre, and during that time I became close friends with a sister there. She asked if I wanted to try counselling and I did it for two years, seeing her every week. It benefitted me so much; it helped me grow and heal. Its effect on me was so profound that I decided to enrol in counselling myself in 2004.
Since 2006, I have had the privilege of working with clients of all ages and backgrounds in NHS settings, charities, and private practice. I currently work within the NHS Psychological Services IAPT Programme as a counsellor and assessor and also in private practice.
Over the years I have explored a plethora of issues with my clients including depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement and loss, trauma, work related issues, cultural and identity issues, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and isolation – among other problems. I am committed to my own ongoing development and strive to integrate current proven leading-edge research into my practice in order to provide the best possible service and way of being to facilitate your growth. I also attend regular workshops, lectures and seminars.
